From Pratt to the West Hwy 54 route:
Go
4 miles west past the passing lanes on Highway 54.
Go
9 miles south (left) to Coats. You will
be at the Northwest corner of town at the stop sign.
Take
a right and go West 3 miles to the Sun City road turnoff. The road turns to gravel from here on
west.
Go
1 mile South (left) past the farmhouse on the curve.
Keep
going STRAIGHT WEST 2.8 miles. Do not
curve back south with the pavement.
Jump onto the dirt road instead.
You
will go past the
Come
to the green "Moffett Road" sign.
Go
2 miles south to get to the shop and overhead grain bins,
Go
another 1/4 mile to get to my parents' house (Bill Lee)
Go
across Turkey Creek and low-water bridge 3/8 mile
through the trees to get to Nathan's house.
OR south from Pratt down main street, Hwy 281 south
Go
out of town about 6 or 7 miles until you get to a large hog farm with 3
standing blue silos on your right. Take
the old pavement that is due east of the hog farm (turning right, then due
south on old pavement).
Go
1 mile to the “Coats 5 miles” sign
Turn
right and go 5 miles to Coats, then measure 3 miles on west (straight) from NW
corner of town.
The
road turns to gravel from here on west.
Go
1 mile South (left) past the farmhouse on the curve.
Keep
going STRAIGHT WEST 2.8 miles. Do not

up Highway 281 to the

Follow
it about 5 miles until you get to a sandpit.
Notice
the Moffett Rd. Sign and turn a sharp turn back to the west (left).
Go
1/4 mile to the Hoss Ranch house, and go across
cattle guard thru pasture for about 1 mile.
Come
to second cattle guard at Bill Lee's house.
Go
across Turkey Creek low-water bridge 3/8 mile to
Nathan's house.

From Western Kansas on HighWay 54 (
Go
thru
After
you go past the Pratt County Line sign, turn right (South) after about 1 mile.
You
will be on the Croft Road, also known as “140 Avenue SW”
Go
10 miles south to ghost town of Croft.
You will see 2 houses, a small grain elevator, and an old railroad track
crossing. Keep going south 1/4 mile.
Turn
left (East) and go 3 and 3/4 mile until you see the green
Go
south 2 miles to ranch headquarters.
